Music! Music! Music! All You Need is………….

With the International Music Festival and Beatles Week -26th August, it’s all happening in Liverpool….so, hold tight for this musical adventure over the next few weeks.

The Liverpool International Festival has grown from the Mathew Street Music Festival and developed into the city’s biggest music event showpiece, an event that is now embedded in the musical cosmos of life here at the end of summer.

Festival artists this year include Shaggy, Ian Broudie and The Lightning Seeds complete with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Festival can be followed at various Liverpool locations but, see http://www.limfestival.com

The Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing at Sefton Park on Friday 23rd August with chief conductor Vasily Petrenko performing, so book your tickets now for this one with some outstanding music pieces from the masters.

Not to be missed on the 24th August will be the return of “In My Life” at the Royal Court for one night only, with the talented Mark McGann reprising his portrayal of John Lennon along with the Swedish Beatles tribute band Pepperland. This is a performance not to be missed for Lennon fans especially. Mark certainly plays the maddeningly complex artist with voice spot on and he even looks like his character. All this is part of the International Beatle Week celebrations! Royal Court 08707871866

From the 20th-26th Liverpool will be a buzz of Beatle excitement as various locations celebrate the music of the most famous pop group the world has ever known. http://www.beatlesinternational.com

Don’t miss out on some of the fantastic musical experiences this summer.
Have a brilliant musical event hopping time, chasing the sound cloud and reviving special memories in and around Liverpool’s superb venues.

Turn Up The Radio, 24 August

Some of the biggest names in radio are set to bring the Pier Head stage to life with a live chart hits extravaganza! From girl bands of the moment Little Mix and Stooshe, right though to Union J (cue screaming fans), new indie favourites The Vamps and the dulcet tones of Charlie Brown, Diana Vickers and Eliza Doolittle and many more – we can safely say the pop box has been ticked. Last but certainly not least, let’s not forget headliners JLS who are dropping in as part of their farewell tour. It’s going to be emotional. And your favourites won’t just wow you with a few songs – each act is playing a full set. What more would you expect from the capital pop?

The event takes place at the Pier Head on the Radio City 96.7 stage from 1pm and tickets are available now.
