Tour of Britain starts from Liverpool Waterfront with Sky Ride!!!!

Yes, on yer bikes this weekend because Liverpool is hosting the Opening Stage of the Tour of Britain with a difference!

Bring your bikes and take a ride through the official route before the Stage begins.
Sunday 7th September in Liverpool will be a bikers paradise with car free roads and bikes a-go-go from the Strand to Sefton Park.

Sunday morning will feature the first ever Sky Ride Liverpool which is a mass participation cycling event, free for all to enter from 9am-12.30pm.
Visit Sky Ride for details

The event is expected to see more than 10,000 cyclists enjoying traffic free Liverpool roads and a fun atmosphere along an 8.5 kilometre route finishing at Sefton Park.

2.00pm-5.00pm Tour of Britain takes place from the same place at The Strand then on to Parliament Street, Princes Avenue and Sefton Park Road.

Fun for all will be made this Sunday with the razz atmosphere of a carnival, horns a-hooting, whistling cars, outriders, sirens, bunting and massive inflatables……. re-living this summers Tour de France Yorkshire atmosphere here on our doorstep.

Don’t miss the 9am ride from the city centre, a ride to the Park that will thrill the kids and end in a bumper breakfast at one of the many Lark Lane eateries then, view the race in the afternoon as it races through the Park.
Have a brilliant day!
