Merseyside Black History Month Group will be hosting their 8th Annual Awards ceremony in the magnificent St Georges Hall. This gala event recognises the achievements of individuals and organisations that has had a positive impact upon our diverse communities. Femi Sowande the Chair of Merseyside Black History Month Group, and his dedicated colleagues including Garth Dallas their Events Manager, have worked tirelessly to ensure this celebration took place despite the very challenging economic climate.
The Awards that will be presented are sponsored by key public and private sector partners that have worked very closely with the group over the years. Over 450 guest attended this gala event in 2011, and it is anticipated that it will be another success this year. Aswad one of Britain’s best-loved reggae bands will be the guest artist keeping the guest dancing to their music during the evening. I defy anyone to keep seated during their performance.
So if you are looking for what promises to be a truly entertaining evening, where your support would be most appreciated then get yourself down to St Georges Hall on Saturday evening.
